Luke 1:18-2:6 “Why is Christmas” with Pastor Jack Hibbs

In the beginning there were much more than 6 working days and a sabbath. God knew the Light, the word of God was, is and would become. This perfect alignment in time and space. It was so specific, so intentional that Jesus, the son of the Living God, came into this human world.

What greatness Jesus is to be the light of the world. Where the Spirit knew what must be done, something that is so epic, so specific that it takes the invisible to make people believe.

Jesus is beyond all human comprehension and yet He chose to surrender His infinite self and become like us fleshly, imperfect human beings. He was perfect, and we were quite the opposite. Jesus is like a man who wakes up in the morning to suit up and go to work, to work long and hard, then go home to rest for an hour or two. Then turn around and do it again, just knocking yesterday’s dust off and being ready for the day. This is what Jesus did!!

He left His throne, was born to this world (Christmas), lived 33 years full of strife, ugliness, disdain and still walked perfectly as an example to all what love truly means. He healed, loved, cared, to all the ones who came against Him over and over again. He gave His life, hung on Calvary, forgave His oppressors, and rose from the dead three days later. Three days later the job is done, just like we planned before the beginning.

He has a relationship with all 8 billion of us and at any moment 24 hours a day without hesitation He is with us, for us and in us. What an amazement, what dedication, what love is to be found in this expression. Thank you Jesus for coming after me!!

THANK YOU JESUS for your undivided attention to save us from ourselves!!
