The air is beginning to feel thick and people are wanting answers to their questions about what the bible says, what the bible is and what it has to do with me. Last night’s bible study did not have a bible verse that was the theme of the evening so I chose Proverbs 3:5-6 in the spirit of the unknown. It reads;
“5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
6 In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall [a]direct your paths.”
There is a lot of unknowns in life and even as followers of Christ Jesus there are areas where faith is the only answer you will get. God is perfect, all knowing, beyond greatness and without limits. He knows all things, His timing is perfect, the will that He has for your life is perfect. We as humans seem to need more than all of that.
We tend to need physical recognition which messes with our minds and our spirit. It tends to lead us into places where the answers come from men, not God or His word. Faith is invisible, it is without shape or form. It is almost like your imagination but it is real. Hebrews 11:1 says, “Now faith is the [a]substance of things hoped for, the [b]evidence of things not seen.” To be tangible, felt, touched, these are the elements in which our feeble minds bring value.
Last night was very interesting and the questions that were asked were very deep. During times when we have no knowledge of what God is doing, what we really have is hope, faith, trust, and belief. That is what we must hold dear to every day, every minute and stay focused on the prize, Jesus!!
