Oh boy, doesn’t this hit home!!
Let me reflect on my day and I can tell you that I was not a beacon of light for others to know that I am a Christ follower. My fight was real today and a lot of it was directly from my own actions. Not that they were bad but that I put dumb stuff in front of doing what I do everyday and that is putting Jesus before everything
I do.
Through prayer and repentance, I know that the Lord’s grace and mercy is sovereign and sufficient. You know what the crazy part of today was; is that I saw it unfold minute by minute and didn’t do anything to stop from being lazy about what is important.
This is what being a follower of Jesus becomes, being with Him, in Him and surrendered to Him is a necessity, a must, a can not and will not live without. Even being a little off today, I know that I have Jesus in my corner 24/7, without a shadow of a doubt.
I know He is my Savior, my Redeemer, He is the Good Shepherd of my life. The pastor was speaking about the qualities of a diligent disciple, they are as follows;
1. Will draw from resources God deposited.
2. Will be growing daily with intentional effort.
3. Will develop character from the inside out.
4. Will be fruitful, stable and clear sighted.
5. Will finish well.
These are the truths of being a follower of Our Lord Christ Jesus. Even when you have a day like mine, He is always quick to forgive when you surrender your sin to Him. Thank you Jesus!
