Having the fellowship of the church to have communion with is a strong and sincere tradition throughout the ages. I tend to reevaluate where I am in life. It is a serious action to take in public amongst the brethren.
As we recommit ourselves to Christ we are making an agreement to God that we are sinners, yet we walk as close and faithful to Christ as possible. Daily surrender, daily obedience, daily repentance is a qualifying factor to our walk.
Understanding and knowing that Jesus is all we need in life, is truth. It is not the easiest at times to stay focused but there is grace for each of us. His grace is sufficient for us and in our weaknesses He is made perfect.
I pray that we all take moments like this to recommit ourselves to our Lord and Savior. I pray that we take a sabbath once in a while, hopefully once a week. We need this time to quiet the noise that is always going on to distract our lives away from the Holy One.
Take some time to give yourself over to Jesus, I give you permission.
